Candle Care
1. Burning Your Candle:
Trim the Wick:
Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This helps prevent excessive flickering and soot buildup.
First Burn:
Allow your candle to burn for at least 1-2 hours on the first use to ensure an even melt pool. This helps prevent tunneling and maximizes fragrance throw.
Avoid Drafts:
Keep your candle away from drafts, vents, or fans to ensure an even burn and prevent the flame from flickering.
2. Candle Safety:
Never Leave Unattended:
Always monitor your burning candle. Never leave it unattended, especially around children or pets.
Keep Away from Flammable Items:
Position your candle away from flammable materials and surfaces.
Use on Stable Surfaces:
Place candles on a heat-resistant, stable surface to prevent accidents and damage.
3. Extinguishing the Flame:
Use a Candle Snuffer:
For the best results, extinguish the candle with a snuffer to avoid smoke and minimize soot.
Do Not Blow Out:
Avoid blowing out the candle, as this can cause wax to splatter and create soot.
4. After Burning:
Let It Cool:
Allow the candle to cool completely before touching or moving it.
Reposition Wicks if Necessary:
If the wick shifts while the wax is still warm, carefully reposition it before it sets.
5. Storage Tips:
Store in a Cool, Dark Place:
Keep your candles away from direct sunlight and heat to preserve their scent and appearance.
Keep Containers Covered:
If possible, cover your candles to protect them from dust and debris.
Repurposing Containers:
Reuse or Recycle:
Once your candle is finished, consider repurposing the container for storage or decor. Clean it with warm, soapy water to remove residual wax.
